Portfolio Manager - R&D Crop Protection - Wagga Sydney NSW - FILLED BY US!

 

We are looking for an inquisitive person with a technical agronomy background and a passion for product marketing to manage a portfolio of crop protection products for a global company.

The role itself?
In the position, your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Overall strategy for the product portfolio

  • Setting and delivering short & long term product strategy financial goals

  • Serving as a central point of contact with global/regional/sub-regional marketing in the assigned category; when launching new products, working closely with other functions to ensure timely and effective launch execution

  • Developing crop, molecule, marketing, and brand plans for the category through well thought of segmentation, targeting and positioning process

  • Identifying and assessing market opportunities; understanding the market needs by using the best practice tools

  • Supporting in the formulation of tactical plans and working closely with the Sales Team to ensure flawless execution of campaigns in target market segments

  • Working closely with the marketing communications & digital services team to design and implement product communications, digital marketing initiatives and campaigns

  • Developing customer programs to drive loyalty and supporting the sales planning team to execute the same

  • Providing leadership and direction to the LPCT and MFT, setting the agenda and driving it forward

  • Identifying opportunity, building new business cases and updating existing business cases within project guidelines

  • Engage distributors, agronomists, influencers and farmers in forums, discussions and surveys to uncover simplicity opportunities around products and utilising these to drive enhanced marketing activities

What kind of person will fit the role?
The perfect person for this role would have:

  • Tertiary education in agriculture, business and/or marketing

  • Experience in Marketing focused on portfolio management or project management in agribusiness or related industries that connect with end-users desirable

  • High level communicator; high responsiveness rate and able to articulate messages well in small to medium size groups

  • High competency in time management and project management skills
