The role itself?
Based in the Bundaberg area and reporting to the General Manager, the focus of this position is in managing and maintain the existing business relationships whilst engaging in proactive and innovative strategies to continue to develop new business opportunities. In this role, you will be required to:

  • Provide an enjoyable customer experience for all existing clients whilst implementing strategies to develop new client business in collaboration with the commercial team

  • Monitor Sales and Action Plans nationally and proactively support staff to achieve the objective’s, ensuring emphasis is placed on proactively seeking to identify client’s needs and offer solutions through cross selling, up selling and client retention

  • Maintain planned frequent contact with the key clients

  • Build a strong rapport across all levels of the client’s organisation

  • Maintain the database in respect to job orders, candidate movements/comments, and client comments and information

  • Support the General Manager with the cost centre management of the Agribusiness sector, including the preparation, monitoring, and management and reporting of budgets in a timely manner

  • Assist with promotional plans to increase the businesses profile within the client/industry group

  • Tender for business through advertised contracts, cold calling/site visits and face to face meetings

  • Adopt good operational risk management practices within the branch, and the company client relationship, identifying, assessing, and recording key risks within the risk and compliance framework

  • Lead and support engagement of communities to build the credibility and reputation of the business and assist in identifying business opportunities, promoting the values of the business

  • Ensure and provide a high standard of client service; displaying friendly, responsive, courteous, and effective communication to client enquiries, increasing value to existing clients and prospective clients

  • Regular client/site visits to manage client relationships

What kind of person will fit the role?
The perfect person for this role would be someone with extraordinary communication skills, confidence in a farming environment and previous experience in a commercial position. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with productive and dynamic teams.
